Game 2: Wild 6, Preds 5

Wow, what a game.  Here we go:

1.  Every time the score crept upward all I could think was "Poor Jacques, he's going to get an ulcer watching this much offense."  I can't remember a more wide open Wild game.  Grab the 2 liter Pepto jug at Costco, Jacques, it's going to be a long season for you at this pace.

2.  Manny pulled.  I think it was more of a move to get the team motivated rather than a reflection on his play, but it's never a good thing for a goaltender to get yanked.  I hope he can put this behind him.  Backstrom looked solid, albeit a bit shaky.

3.  Parrish is exactly what we needed...a mucker and grinder in front of the net.  His tip-on goal was a thing of beauty.

4.  Nashville can't play much defense.  Eight goals allowed versus the Hawks and now six against the Wild.  What'll happen when they play Atlanta?  That might be a 11-10 game.

That's it for tonight.  I watched the game on a small 20 inch TV in Duluth, so I may have missed some details.  Roy out.

Can we just award the other team a goal when we get a penalty? That way we can just get it over with and on with the game. The Preds penalty kill can't stop a mite team right now.
