It'd be a whole lot easier if we just gave the Wild the power play for the first period, the Flames in the second and then split the third. This game was incredibly tightly-officiated and there a mind-numbing 19 power plays. I'm friggin' speechless. Put the damn whistle away and let these guys play. Rolston and Mikko score their patented shootout goals and the Wild take a point from the Flames.

I am SO not a fan of the shootout...but it has helped the Wild a ton this year. Only 40% of their wins are in regulation. Good to get the points, but it would be less stressful to win a little more comfortably, at least once in a while.

Thing 1: I'm glad to get the win but we did give up a point in a home game w/in division. Not ideal...
Thing 2: That Iginla goal was amazing. Not fancy-dancy amazing just put-your-head-down-and-go, 6 guaranteed scoring chances a game amazing. Its not right that a skater can be that strong and that fast.
Thing 2.5: Didn't somebody say something about Martin Skoula should be a healthy scratch?
Iginla amazes me, he's stronger than anyone with the puck in the league. I can't fault Skoula too much for that one. Shawn Belle needs more minutes.
Hey I couldn't see the game from up here in AK but did Manny play as well as the stats made it look like? Is he back to being Manny? Well hopefully especially since I think we have a lot of division games coming up and the team should be getting healthy.
Manny is coming around. This was his third strong game in a row, and I really can't call either of the Flames' goals bad ones. I think it's mostly a confidence thing with him, and for now he's starting to get it back.
