I'd abandon the whole rotating-captaincy thing and make Brian Rolston the full-time Captain of the team. But, if I were truly Jacques Lemaire I'd stick to my guns and keep my systems in place, therefore appointing a new captain for February, and there is no one more suited for the job (sans Rolston) than Mikko Koivu. Mikko drips captaincy with everything he does on the ice. There isn't a harder worker to be found than #17 and he's the prototypical Lemaire player. So if I had to appoint a February captain it would be Mikko.
Correction: Mikko is #9. He wore #17 last season but sold it to Wyatt Smith for some lutefisk.
Correction #2: Mikko wore #21 last year. Filip "Worst All-Star Selection Ever" Kuba wore #17.

Mikko was #21 last year. Parrish wears #21 now. Kuba was #17. Daigle was #9 last year.
Wow, that's embarrassing. I should shut it all down and regroup. Mikko was 21. How could I forget about Kuba? I guess the Filip Kuba era was intentionally forgotten somehow.
