Another road win last night in Chicago, albeit a shootout win. Three in a row on the road and now back home for a few. Here is how the Wild have done this year with and without
Marian Gaborik in the lineup:
With Gaborik: 9-2-1
Without Gaborik : 15-17-2
My mites team is the same way with our premier player, I'll call him "Dave". When Dave shows up, we're good for at least 10 goals, but when Dave sleeps in we're only getting around 6. Now that the cold weather has arrived we practice outside on Wednesday; I told my son to wear all three pairs of his Star Wars long underwear on that day.
Update 1-17-07, 9:50 PM: Cold, cold practice. Strong winds made it much nicer to skate north than face the wind and skate south. 5 of 9 kids skipped practice, including mine, who was home asleep on the couch. For punishment I plan on making him watch a Flyers game this weekend.

Tell Dave to make sure he stretches and protects that groin.
Sleeping in, though? Sounds like a cancer in the locker room...
And that's not all. He's almost like Allen Iverson in that he's a great game player, but often lags behind in practice. "I mean it's practice, man."
