Wasn't that the title of some bad Jack Nicholson movie? Anyhoo, that's the title of today's post because the Wild play a critical game in southern Alberta tonight against the Flamers. Despite Calgary's best efforts to bring in some new faces, their team has yet to win consistently. Miikka's been pretty good this year (albeit far from prior Vezina form) and they've been dreadful on the road. Having said that, however, tonight they play at home where they have been outstandingly good and will surely be up for the game.
I hope #24 is in the lineup for the Wild tonight, bringing a physical presence to the ice. I also am eager to see Adam "Do it all" Hall continue to assert himself and can't wait to see how Dommy Moore looks in the road whites.
The game is on national TV in Canada tonight so it will be especially nice to thump the Flames in front of millions of canucks. I plan on making some french toast with a side of back bacon, eh. Prediction: Wild 5 (Gaborik 4, Moore 1), Flames 2 (Vail, Clement).

I am listening to the game tonight via Sirius satellite radio.. but it is the Flames Broadcast Network (FAN 960) since they are at home.
Please be good to Dominic Moore. He was a decent player out here in Pittsburgh and should fit in real well with the Wild. If Moore had to go, I am glad he is with a team I like and respect.
Well.. if this was a game that should be a mock-tribute to ex-NFL coach Denny Green.. it is this one.
"The Flames are what we thought they were. They're what we thought they were.... That’s why we took the darn ice! Now, *hits microphone* if you want to crown them, then crown their ass! But, they are who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook!"
It also sucks that the Gaborik goal was changed and that Moore did not suit up.
