Judge his play on the ice, that's fine.
There was pretty much no way he was going to make the team out of camp, and the Wild didn't lose/give up anything by giving him a tryout. So he goes to Houston and maybe he works out and maybe he doesn't. But what's the worst case scenario? He never plays a game with the Wild? What are we out in that case? Nothing.

I wonder if he will run over a net now.
Actually not a bad player talent wise, but possibly a difficult team mate and gets injured from strange post game rituals.
