It seems like a decade since the Rangers have been to St. Paul and the town is in buzz mode with the anticipated arrival of Jagr and the boys in blue. Yes, there's some sarcasm there; the Wild can't seem to generate any local media buzz even though they lead the NW division, have won 3 in a row and are playing exceptional hockey. Vikings, vikings, vikings...everything is NFL. I really don't want to play the cliche-ridden "no respect" card, but outside of us hockey die-hards, there just isn't a whole lot of puck talk in this town.
In any event, I am looking forward to tonight's game a great deal. I'm especially curious to see if netminder Henrik Lundquist is as good as advertised, here's hoping he gets the nod. For the Wild I expect Lemaire to go with the hot hand and play Josh Harding once again.

I agree with you on the lack of press coverage, however, on the rare occassion that we actually get some coverage, it tends to annoy me when it's by someone that really doesn't know hockey and just talks to talk.
KFAN does an ok job on some of the shows. PA and Dubay dedicate time to hockey and have Mark Parrish on weekly. Dan Barrierio has Lou Nanny on weekly, and that's very good. They will also soon start up Beyond the Pond again on Saturday mornings, PA, Pat Michelletti, and a former Gopher who's name escapes me right now. They talk Wild, Gophers, and even high school hockey. Good radio, and also podcastable on their website.
