It looks like the question of the day concerns #19. Should he have been suspended for his antics on Tuesday night? While I acknowledge he was out of control, took way too many penalties and rendered a cheap hit on Paul Stastny, I don't think you can suspend him. The truth of the matter is that in playoff hockey sometimes things get a bit crazy. Cheap hits happen. Yes, I'd be boiling over the top in furious anger if Lappy did the same to Koivu, but I wouldn't be calling for his suspension. Stephane's antics were embarrassing and were dealt with on the ice. Enough said.
Regarding tonight's tilt, for me the key to the game lies in goal. Backstrom needs to steal a game here, people. Sure, none of the goals from the other night were completely his fault, but those are saves that playoff series-winning goaltenders make. Backstrom needs to make those saves, it's as simple as that.
No chinese food tonight, I think the curse was broken on Tuesday. Eating potstickers for 3 consecutive nights takes a toll. Tonight just a simple sack of Doritos and some Smithwicks.
