Jersey Plea
I've been pleading for the last few years that NHL teams go back to wearing white at home; I love to see the visiting clubs in their dark jerseys. For jersey-selling reasons I realize this isn't going to happen anytime soon. In lieu of this switch I have a simple request: the Wild should wear their old green jerseys instead of the red ones.
The red home jerseys used to the the team's 3rd jersey, to be worn only on special nights, but last year it became the home jersey. While I like the classic, old-school look of the red jersey logo, I prefer the green jerseys with the standard logo. They're the Minnesota Wild. Walk into any forest in Minnesota and you're surrounded by green things -- plants, fungi and whatnot. Wearing the red not only gives the team a Red Wing look, it also tends to upset their opponents psychologically and causes them to charge at them like a bull in a bullfight.
So I implore you, Craig Leipold, switch back to the green.

I have to disagree on this one, but just because some stats I've read about. The team wearing red wins more often than loses, I'll find the article to you when I got the time, but trust me on this one. The red team is more likely to win than lose. That's a fact.
PS. Sorry for not replying to the FA-list, I had a crazy week-or-so and by the time I actually had time to do something different than work, the FA-period was up and rolling. Kinda not-so-fun to do a list of your "shopping list" of FA's when all the best are gone. I had Bruno up there, just to brag.

Amen. I completely agree. I totally bought a green sweater before they got taken away. Mostly it was an excuse to buy a Parrish sweater, but whatever.
gotta say, red better than green, though i do appreciate the fact that green is almost an original...
Man, You have way too much time on your hands if you're worried about the color of the jerseys! You should be gratefull for the red jerseys...it will be the only time the wild might be confused for The Wings! @saikka < Your stats are pretty correct! The Red Wing Team usually wins!
I would agree, go back to the green and away from the red. check that, they should incorporate some black into them, and go to almost all black. the team wearing all black is much more intimidating than pansy red, or green, that is a fact. Oh, and in the forest, in Minnesota, in winter, brown is the main color, and I dont think brown sweaters will look very good. Hey, just think how much money the team and NHL would make if they switched colors again!! we are such suckers for color and logo switches.
although I like your sweaters, it bugs me that the logo on the home and away jerseys are different. I know Minny isn't the only team to do it, but still...
I think I read that the Wild alt next year will be green, so maybe that will work out okay.
I dont mind going back to green but those green sweaters with the Wild logo were horrible. Go to green with the current red logo...that would be fine. If they dont switch sweaters, at least switch to a red helmet.
I agree, I'd like to see them wear the green one's once again.
