New Sponsor

Sometimes even us bloggers get affected by the recession, but things are looking up. I've landed a new sponsor, BetUS; their logo is on the right. Now Wild Puck Banter can continue to provide you, the Wild blog-reading public, more great posts in the future. It will also allow me to purchase the NHL Center Ice package so I can turn off Canucks games on a nightly basis.

Check them out for hockey betting tips. I make no warranties about their knowledge.

Running Scared

Word has it overrated Canuck goaltender Roberto Loungo won't start tonight against the Wild. This is no surprise to me based upon Roberto's struggles in St. Paul. After all, why should the 2nd best goalie in the Northwest Division play back-to-back nights? Clearly he's tired, poor Loungo.

Two Weeks In

What have we learned two weeks into the season? The following:

1. The Wild are a playoff team, allbeit not a great one.
2. Benoit Pouliot can make a contribution. DR's off the hook for another game.
3. Backstrom needs an extension sooner rather than later.
4. Koivu's an all-star.
5. Boneless buffalo wings were a terrific invention.
6. Gopher coach Don Lucia needs a new hairdo.
7. Skoula's not that bad. Not that good either.
8. Mike Russo used to live in Florida. Cheap shot, I know.
9. Gaborik needs to go, sooner rather than later.
10. Malkin is better than Crosby.

No TV

Can someone please explain to me why tonight's game in Phoenix isn't televised? There's not even any Coyote coverage to watch on Center Ice. Unbelieveable!
