I've finally convinced myself that this blogging business is a good thing and that I should make a legitimate effort to post on a more regular basis. And by "a more regular basis" I mean more then just once a month, which seems to be my thing this season. It should also be noted that a few of my sponsors are more likely to renew their contracts on a blog that posts more than once a month, but that's not the driving reason here. In any event, look for more regular posts here in the future.
Onto tonight's game in the ridiculously-named Hockeytown. Count the empty seats tonight early in the game; they're everywhere. Joe Louis Arena looks like the Dairy Queen Brazier when their soft serve machine is on the fritz. Detroit is a pretty good hockey city, but clearly not hockeytown. I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but that's a good starting point.
Hopefully the team can get out of Detroit with a point; that would be a successful trip in my book. Keep the game close, give Harding some work and work on the trap.
