It is horse racing season, so it's in that spirit that I present the current odds for each of these candidates to become the next coach of the Minnesota Wild:
Todd Richards ~ San Jose assistant, former overrated gopher defender and close, personal friend of Fletcher is clearly the front-runner. Current odds: 1-3.
Peter Laviolette ~ former coach of the Hurricanes and Islanders would bring an up-tempo style of play and a vast array of hair products to St. Paul. Odds: 4-1.
Craig MacTavish ~ fired Oiler coach is considered a bit of a long shot, but should be considered. Odds: 10-1.
Glen Sonmor ~ if Lou Nanne were in charge Glen would get an interview, but probably get lost on the way to the rink. Odds: 1 billion to 1.
