Poker Post

Poker is still a very popular among the jet set, and lately it seems that more and more athletes are joining the ranks of the poker addicted. Hockey players have been catching the poker bug of late, too, with Mats Sundin the most notable to take up the game, serving as an ambassador for the online poker site PokerStars. It's a natural fit in many ways for hockey players to gravitate to poker, as it's a perfect way to while away the hours while traveling to and from games, as well as a natural game to play in general in countries with long cold winters and lots of snow and not much else to do other than play games like poker or video poker.

Martin Brodeur and Sean Avery have also taken part in past charity poker games, so Sundin isn't alone at the tables. And one of the top poker pros in the world, Greg "FTB" Mueller, played professional hockey in Germany for nine years before he started crushing the poker games, including winning two bracelets at the 2009 World Series of Poker.
