What to do? We were watching the first period of last night's Colorado-Phoenix game and he blurts out that he'd like an Avs jersey. I was stunned. As far as I can tell, I have three options:
1. Pretend I didn't hear him and change the channel.
2. Buy him said jersey and watch his emotional well-being get ripped apart as the Avalanche slide out of the playoffs.
3. Buy him a green Cal Clutterbuck jersey instead and tell him the store was out of Avalanche jerseys.
I opted for Option #1, but it didn't stick. He asked me again this morning.
