Throughout the CBA negotiations I've tried to keep a positive attitude by telling myself that this is all part of the process and that they'll get there eventually. Through all of the rhetoric, bad meetings and premature speculation I have honestly tried to keep my game face on. This is how the NHL does things, for better or worse.
But as time moved on I've become very angry. Why is this the way? Why does this happen?
I'm reading twitter today and many people are starting to remove themselves from the game. "I'm done with the NHL" and "I'm calling the Wild and cancelling my season tickets" are somewhat common tweets and I'm wondering when (and if) I'd approach that level of anger. As of today, I'm still on the NHL train, but if the season were to evaporate, I can't make any promises.
